This particular top end journey began as I joined Greg Bethune on board Carpentaria Seafaris. Greg has been operating on the Cape for almost a decade and recognised some years ago that the need for a comfortable mothership operation out of Seisia wasparamount. From this recognition was born the Tropic Paradise, a 19m purpose-built alloy catamaran. After having camped on sandy beaches and headlands for five nights, the ship was indeed paradise for me with its luxury cabin accommodation, air-conditioning and chef-prepared meals.
