Many people have made the trek to the northern tip of Australia and undoubtedly enjoyed the experience. However, most that Harry and I meet on the track are in such a big hurry to get to the tip they don't explore the hundreds of side tracks and historic sites along the way. We're glad they do that because otherwise, we locals would have to share all those beaut campsites and fishing spots with the thousands of annual refugees from the Deep South.
