Something had to be wrong - this feeling had been bugging me for the last half hour or so. Whenever we enter any sort of fishing competition it always precipitates the worst possible weather in the history of fishing. Yet even at five o'clock in the morning I could see that the ocean ahead was as flat as a dunny man's hat while the faint mist on the water was giving way to a beautiful Cairns autumn morning.
