WHEN TO VIBE AND TI GO HARD

I've got a confession to make. Up until recently, I missed the soft vibe craze in the estuaries. You know, Transams, Thready Busters, Fish Candies, Vibelicious, MF 70s, Sniper Vibes and so on... The list of models getting around makes War and Peace look like a post card!It wasn't that I hadn't used them, it was just using them wrongly. I was treating them like vertical jigs and even when I cast them in the creeks, I worked them with slow lifts and drops, pausing regularly. I caught a few fish this way, but got a hell ofa lot more snags.The experience frustrated me, especially when other anglers seem to smash the mangrove jack, barra, etc., on vibes while I spent most of my time with a lure retriever in my hand?The answer finally came to me on a trip to Hinchinbrook last year where I learnt when to vibe and when to go hard.
