It's not often you catch a fish when you're boat testing, however, it did happen on the test of the Formosa 480 Sea-Rod featured here.We hooked a sleek kingfish, which perhaps was just as keen as us to look aboard this new Queensland model from the Formosa stable! Sadly, we didn't have the ice or knives aboard to do him justice and therefore let him go.However, this unexpected experience did help us appreciate just how brilliantly effective this console model is for fishing.The room in this Formosa 480 Sea-Rod is amazing and effectively makes her as spacious as many boats of bigger size. And with a centre console design there seems to be heaps of space to hook a fish and play it right around the boat if need be. Especiallyfor close in action amongst the moorings, this is an fdeal craft. It's just at the right size for working in around moorings and marinas - and also stable enough for stand-up casting in all directions.
