We examine the questions of using electrospark alloying in repairing bakery equipment to provide a service life that is on the level of a new unit. We analyze the processes that take place during friction and wearing and describe the results of observations of the wearing of the basic critical parts of the dividing heads of the "Parta-U2" dough-divider of the Netherlands firm "Werner und Pfleiderer Haton BV". The fundamentals of the overhaul technologies are presented. The operating effectiveness of the overhauled dough-dividers is equivalent to that of the new units the cost of the overhaul of the dividing heads does not exceed 40,000 rubles.
