Mike Teanby concludes the history of IH farming implements. By the 1980s plough production had stopped at International Harvester's Doncaster plant and it started diversifying into other markets. Ultimately, products were grouped into separate divisions - prominent among these at Doncaster were tractors, construction machines and industrial equipment. A second plant was acquired in the town to help the company handle the increase in demand and here, from 1965, it made heavy trucks - the distinctive flat-faced Loadstar 1700 Series.
