After a long wait for a break in the weather Andrew Hall ends up with a lot of broken equipment. For many people 2012 will be remembered for the Queen's jubilee celebrations and the success of the Olympic Games. However, for those of us with close ties to the land the weather has dominated the scene. It started out in late winter/early spring with threats of water shortages and was followed by one of the wettest summers on record causing a mega-long wait to start haymaking and a stop-start grain harvest.
