PREDICTION OF LIQUID METAL TEMPERATURE FOR CONTINUOUS CASTING OF STEEL

The paper describes the statistical exercise undertaken to predict the appropriate temperature of continuous casting for improving the surface and internal quality of the finished bloom. Control of superheat temperature reduced the casting problems like breakout and liquid metal chilling.
