NORWAY: TiZir Starts Making Chlorinatable Slag O.K., but Now Faces 4-Week Shutdown

Following completion of the furnace relining and capacity expansion project at the Tyssedal smelter in mid-December 2015, TiZir Ltd. began ramping-up production and produced its first batch of chlorinatable slag in early January 2016. By March, the smelter was producing more than 15,000 tonnes/month of slag.
