As part of Base Resources' agreements with the Kenyan Government, the company's Kenyan subsidiary will benefit from a 50% reduction in corporate income taxes for the first 10 years after commencement of production. It will also enjoy various other tax benefits, including remission of taxes and duties paid on the importation of equipment needed for the Kwale project and exemption from payment of taxes on associated land transactions.
