KRONOS: Gross Profit Margin Drops to 6.5%

Kronos Worldwide Inc. (headquartered in Dallas, TX) reported a net post-tax loss of $US 102 million on sales revenues of $US 1.73 billion for full-year 2013. This was after accounting for an income tax benefit of $US 57.9 million. The company had recorded post-tax losses in 2007 ($US 66.7 million) and in 2009 ($US 34.7 million), but last year's post-tax loss was worse than either of those years.
