摘要

In 2003, the government of Zimbabwe introduced a dual marketing approach for flue-cured tobacco, adding a contract system to the traditional auction system. Gold Driven Investments (GDI) was among the first nine companies that took up the opportunityto become a contract buyer. This season, the Hong-Kong-based company wants to become third among the biggest leaf buyers, improving on their fourth-place position in 2006.
