Transaction prices are headed upward in ERW pipe exports out of Japan to the rest of Asia, marking a recovery of prices, at a time when Japan's integrated steelmakers are in negotiations on their exports of ERW pipes to steel stockists in Asian destinations for shipments in the July-September quarter. The Japanese steelmakers are trying to settle their deals at increased prices in a range of 860-890 US dollars/ton FOB.
