According to China's Customs Statistics, iron ore imports into the Country in February 2005 were 18.16 million tons (Mt), falling below the level of the same month in 2004. Imports have been straightly going over the previous corresponding months, in particular when they buoyantly exceeded 20 Mt for two months in a row since December 2004, but the vigor has apparently tempered in February. However, the volume still displays a high level as a single month figure, at an annual equivalent rate of 235 Mt.
