Daning Mine In Shanxi Province Starting Coal Production In September

Coal production at Daning mine in the Shanxi Province of China being developed by Banpu PCL of Thailand and others is to be launched in September this year. At the mine coal production by longwall system is expected to be 1,700,000 MT in 2005 which will eventually be raised to 5,500,000 MT per year on full scale operation.
