Although LME nickel prices are renewing every day the highest ones, the price of nickel-based stainless steel scrap in Japan, which so far reacted sensitively to LME nickel prices, is unexpectedly keeping a calmness at present. Many of end dealers to collect this scrap intend to rise price of nickel-based stainless steel scrap for the renewed highest prices of LME nickel, but stainless steel mills and major dealers were not moving yet as of the end of last week.
