Japan's stainless steel manufacturers are marking time in new export deals of nickel-based stainless CR sheets for China as inquiries from local customers are limited in number. In China, the domestic stainless steel market for Ni-based products fell by Yn1,500/ton (192 US dollars) in mid-November last year in reaction to a decline in the world's nickel prices. Then, local stainless steel producers executed a domestic price increase of Yn300/ton (38 US dollars) each for December shipments.
