BHP Billiton announced June 24 that both Mineral Resource and Ore Reserve at Western Australian Iron Ore as at June 2008 have significantly increased from the previous study conducted a year ago, with each increasing 46 percent to 11.7 billion tons, and 23 percent to 3 billion tons, respectively.
