The negotiations with electric furnace mills of Japan on Yen prices of imported bulk ferro-alloys ( silico-manganese and ferro-silicon ) for shipments in April - June quarter of 2007 are anticipated to reach a peak in this week. According to an information from the trading companies concerned, since the exchange rate of Japanese Yen against USDollar had once weakened to a substantial extent (1.00 US dollars : Yen 121 ), there was a view to rise considerably the Yen prices but, after that, the exchange rate of Yen / US dollar has turned to a basic tone to strengthen and, consequently, an extent of the rises has shrunk to a certain extent.
