Rio Tinto Outputs 133 Mt Iron Ore In 2006 (On Stakeholding Basis)

Rio Tinto has announced its operational results for 2006, reporting iron ore production reaching approximately 133 million tons (Mt) with an increase of 8.286 Mt or 6.7 percent over 2005, which figures reflecting the results, on a stake holding basis, contributed from the Company's four subsidiaries: Hamersley Iron (Australia, 100 percent owned), Robe River Iron Associates (Australia, 53.0 percent), IOC (Canada 58.72 percent), and Rio Tinto Brasil (100 percent).
