Molybdenum Production By Grupo Mexico In Apr. - Jun. 2006 Decreased

Grupo Mexico released on the end of last week their settlement of accounts for the second quarter (April - June) of 2006. According to this report, the total quantity of molybdenum in molybdenum concentrates produced by La Caridad Mine of Grupo Mexico in Mexico and Toquepala and Cuajone Mines of Southern Peru Copper in Peru in April - June quarter of 2006 was 2,328 tons (5.13 million lbs.), which had a considerable decrease of 35.2 percent (1,266 tons) in comparison with that (3,594 tons = 7.92 million lbs.) in the same quarter of 2005. The movements of molybdenum production by Grupo Mexico during January 2005 to June 2006 were as per the table attached hereto.
