According to the customs-statistics released in China, the quantities of nickel metal (unwrought nickel) exported and imported by China in January - April of 2006 as well as in a single month of April were as per the table shown below. Namely, China imported 11,946 tons of nickel metal in April of 2006, which had a considerable increase of 63.5 percent compared with that (7,305 tons) in the previous month - March and recorded the highest one in the past years as exceeded that (11,800 tons) imported into China in December of 2004.
