SSCC Finds Buyer for Former Linerboard Mill

Smurfit-Stone Container Corp. (SSCC) has a prospective buyer for its Frenchtown linerboard mill site, but company officials aren't saying who, the Associated Press reports. "We anticipate that more information will be available to the public in the next couple of weeks," says Ron Megna, assistant general counsel for SSCC. "I don't know for sure what the buyer intends to do with the property, but my understanding is that it is a combination of a few things and that they are still talking to other partners."
