PCA Reports 2Q Record Sales of $712 Million

Packaging Corp. of America (PCA) reports second quarter net income of $45 million, which included after-tax debt refinancing charges of $2.5 million. Excluding the refinancing charges, earnings were $48 million, a second quarter record, compared to second quarter 2011 net income of $40 million. Net sales were a record $712 million, up 7 percent compared to second quarter 2011 net sales of $665 million.
