The sales of two former Smurfit-Stone Containerboard Corp. (SSCC) containerboard mills are moving forward. A new owner could take over the former Frenchtown, Mont., linerboard mill by the end of January, reports KECI-TV. An SSCC spokesperson says it has signed a letter of intent with a company to purchase the site. The company hopes the deal will be done by the end of January; there is no word on what type of company could be taking over.
