HP's transition is so radical that Jayson Noland of Robert W. Baird & Co. has equated it to, "McDonald's getting out of the hamburger business." The possible death spiral of an iconic American brand makes massive headlines. Missteps result- ing in a slow demise or your company will most likely be barely noticed.
