Containerboard Price Hikes to Come Soon

Mark Wilde, an analyst with Deutsche Bank - Equity Research, says he believes the industry could soon hear about container-board price hike announcements in the $40 to $60 per ton range. Since industry convention is to provide 30 days notice, July announcements would allow producers to begin raising prices before Labor Day, taking advantage of a seasonal pick-up in the market, he says.
