Domestic Enterprises Aim at Oil Refining Projects

Guangcai Energy Co.,Ltd.,a private enterprise in China,plans to gain equity in an oil refining and petrochemical project in Indonesia with a capacity of more than 2.0 million t/a in oil products and 1.0 million t/a in chemical raw materials in order to get proportional oil shares.CNOOC met setbacks in the purchase of Unacol and intends to launch competition with that private enterprise and enlarge its investments in Indonesia on the basis of the upstream oil/gas exploration and development.
