摘要

The paper on dog bites in the Netherlands by Jessica Cornelissen and Hans Hopster of the Wageningen Livestock Research unit in Lelystad, and published in this issue of The Veterinary Journal, is a welcome and important addition to the literature (Cornelissen and Hopster, 2010). The paper is important because the Netherlands used to have breed specific legislation (BSL) and the work was commissioned by the Government as part of an evaluation of that legislation. BSL has now been abolished in the Netherlands
