摘要

Given just how busy most practices are, unpaid bills can easily slip off the business radar and quickly mount up. Most debtors just need a quick reminder to get them to pay - but others need more persuasive methods, as the author explains"A DOG IS for life, not just for Christmas" is one of the iconic slogans of the animal charity world.Hopefully, that hard-hitting message, coined back in 1978, has long sunk into the minds of the majority of UK pet owners, but owners will, in total, still have faced an estimated £13m of veterinary bills during the festive period.Maybe just as surprising is many of these bills will remain unpaid, a factor that highlights the scale of the debt problem facing the sector directly after Christmas.
