Xinan Chemical to Build New Silicon Plant in Heilongjiang

Zhejiang Xinan Chemical Industrial Group Co.,Ltd.(Xinan Chemical,SH:600596) announced on May 13th its Board of Directors have agreed to set up a new company named Suihua Xinan Silicon Material Co.,Ltd.The new plant,located at Suihua Industry Park,Heilongjiang province,will build a silicon facility in two phases,with a total capacity of 100 thousand t/a.The phase I is expected to spend RMB100 million and is scheduled for startup by the second quarter of 2009.The phase I will produce 30 thousand tons of industrial silicon per year.
