Holzminden, Germany-based Symrlse AG announces that it has established a subsidiary under the name Nigeria LTD in Lagos, Nigeria, to strengthen its position in West Africa. The firm will use market insights gleaned from its new locale and newly established sales and marketing offices and laboratories "to serve both local and multinational customers with products specifically tailored for the West African market." CEO Heinz-Jurgen Bertram notes that Nigeria, with a population of 115 million and abundant natural resources, is also "Africa's largest economy and one of the fastest growing on the continent and seen as [a] gateway to West Africa."
