On February 19th the National Development and Reform Commission issued the"Specific Program for the Research and Development of Major Equipment and the Development of Major Commercial Technologies during the Eleventh Five-year Program Period(2006-2010)". China will conduct the R&D of eight categories of major equipment and the development of four categories of major commercial technologies during that period,to lower the dependence of import on core technologies and key equipment.
