Growth in the natural personal-care market continues at a rate of 10.6% and will reach $29.5 billion in manufacturing worldwide in 2013, according to consulting firm Kline & Company. Sales of natural products for the year will increase in Europe and the U.S., 6% and 7% respectively. China is the fastest-growing market for natural personal care, with a 24% jump in sales for the year. While global brands Kiehl's (L'Oreal SA), Origins (The Estee Lauder Companies) and Jurlique (Jurlique Intl. Pty. Ltd.) have effectively broken into the Chinese natural market, the area is still dominated by domestic brands, which command more than 80% of the segment, according to Zachary Ferrara, project lead in China. Kline also reports that the natural global marketplace is highly fragmented, with only six brands achieving 3% share or more.
