A VORONOVSKAYA-TYPE THEOREM FOR A GENERAL CLASS OF DISCRETE OPERATORS

Here we introduce a general class of discreteoperators, not necessarily positive and we give a Voronovskaya-type formula for this class. Applications to generalizedsampling-type operators and to a further generalization of theclassical Szasz-Mirak'jan operator are given. Finally a surveyon Voronovskaya's formula for classical discrete operators istreated.
