Brazil-Japan Ethanol Starts Imports of Bioethanol into Japan

Brazil-Japan Ethanol,a joint venture of Nippon Alcohol Hanbai and Brazilian oil company Petrobras,was officially launched and started operation on March 3.The new company plans to import into Japan bioethanol made from Brazilian sugar cane,supplying 10,000-20,000 kl for use as industrial alcohol in the first fiscal year.Japan's industrial alcohol market amounts to nearly 330,000 kl/y,serving the food and chemical industries.
