Ramipril is currently marketed by Aventis under the trade name Tritace.It is licensed and sold in the United Kingdom as a capsule and in most of the rest of Europe it is presented as a tablet.A number of British manufacturers have independently developed a capsule presentation for the UK market,and subject to gaiing the necessary marketing authorisation approvals,will be aiming to launch these products form 9 January 2004,when the patent for Tritace expires.
