On April 12th,2007 Yunnan Yuntianhua Company Ltd.(Yuntianhua)held a ground breaking ceremony for its 60 000 t/a POM (polyoxymethylene)project in Chongqing Chemical Industry Park,Chongqing City.The RMB2 billion project is made up of three POM production lines,each of which has a capacity of 20 000 t/a.The first line and the other two are expected to be completed in July 2008 and 2010 respectively.Yuntianhua is an old POM manufacturer in China.Headquartered in Yunnan province,Yuntianhua already has two POM production lines there with a total capacity of 30 000 t/a.Adjacent to Yunnan province,Chongqing has abundant natural gas reserve and can guarantee feedstock for POM.
