Neosigmine is an effective treatment for patients with acute colonic pseudo-obstruction, accordingto researchers from the University of Washington, Seattle. The findings from a study involving 21 adults with the condition are to be upblished in the July 15 issue of the New England Journal of Medicine but have been released in advance on the journal's website "because of their potential therapeutic implications".
