Two projects in Scotland are demonstrating the roles that pharmacists can play in prescribing. In one, pharmacists are already prescribing medicines for common conditions. In the other, a pharmacist runs a clinic to manage hypertension, and repeat dispensing by local community pharmacists will be added to this project in the next couple of weeks.
