The role of pharmacopoeias

The new British Pharmacopoeia and British Pharmacopoeia (Veterinary) were introduced to the meeting by Dr Robin Huttonand Miss Marie Rabouhans (BP Commission). Dr HUTTON explained that the BP 1998 consolidated the BP 1993 and its associated addenda. However, a recent user survey had revealed that people tended not to purchase addenda, and the future intention was to publish the BP annually.
