The pharmaceutical profession is the only health care profession with a unique knowledge of medicines from their manufacture to their use, including discovery, syn-thesis, formulation, manufacturing, quality assurance, distribution, therapeutics and monitoring. As a profession we have this spectrum of knowledge and skills, but as individuals we frequently specialise in one particular part of the spectrum.
