Nucor Corp., Charlotte, N.C., announced that it has acquired ITEC Steel Inc. and its wholly owned subsidiary, Steel Truss and Frame Corp., with facilities in Texas and Georgia, for approximately 9 million dollars. ITEC has annual revenues of approximately 10 million dollars. ITEC produces load-bearing light-gauge steel framing. Don Moody, Nucor's manager of light-gauge framing development, is responsible for ITEC's operations and growth.
