A field study was conducted in Bangladesh during 2003-04 to determine the effects of B and Mo, applied along with the recommended N, P, K, S and Zn fertilizers, in the yield of sugarcane cv. Isd 31 grown in the sandy acidic soil. Ten treatments were studied. Application of 120 kg N, 35 kg P, 100 kg K, 25 kg S and 2 kg Zn, along with 2 kg each of B and Mo/ha (T7) resulted in significantly higher cane yield (83.40 t/ha) than most of the treatments. It also resulted in a significantly higher number of cane stalks (116.11x103) per hectare than other treatments except that involving the application of the recommended rates of N, P, K, S and Zn along with the application of 2 kg B and 4 kg Mo/ha. The increase in cane yield due to T7 was 99.52% over the control which received no fertilizer..
