ENHANCING REFRACTORY VALUE IN USE THROUGH INNOVATION AND DESIGN

摘要

This paper briefly examines the concept of value in use and looks at how innovation and design in refractories can generate savings for steelmakers. Examples will be given in three areas of steelmaking refractories to illustrate how innovation has influenced value in use. In particular lining materials, sliding gate refractories and isostatically pressed refractories will be considered.
