摘要

Although there is no proven evidence that RCF causes lung problems, the EU has classed it as a Category 2 carcinogen. This not only puts responsibilities on insulation manufacturers to provide an alternative insulation material, but requires employers using RCFs to seek a substitute which would present a lower risk to the health of workers. Superwool 607 HT is the first economically viable low bio-persistent insulation fibre with a classification temperature of up to 1300 deg C. Glass manufacturers using RCF insulation can look to Superwool 607 HT to help them meet increasingly stringent health and safety regulations and reduce the costs associated with maintenance and replacement of insulation material, without compromising thermal performance.
