Watsons 1960-1973

Having read with great interest the article by Ken Hall on the history of Watson & Sons in the last issue of this Journal, I thought that readers might like an insight into the workings of the company from a personnel point of view: how the firm combined as a work force, and how new products were evolved. For me, the time at Watsons from 1960 until 1973 was a time of greater change than at any other time in its history. As Ken noted in his article mentioned above, these events are from forty years ago: I am sure some errors will have crept in, and some omissions be left undetected, for example.
