THIS YEAR'S RHS London Orchid Show (20-21 March) has an additional element. As well as the popular Orchid Show in the Lawrence Hall, the Lindley Hall will house a new Botanical Art Show. Up to 40 contemporary artists will be showing works, all hopingto win a prestigious Gold Medal. The RHS Lindley Library will also be putting on two exhibitions. The first will consist of Gold Medal-winning pictures from its contemporary art collections. The second will consist of selections from its collection of orchid award portraits, beginning with the first RHS orchid artist Nellie Roberts (see Orch. Rev. March 09:32-38) and finishing with a display of work by the current orchid artist, Deborah Lambkin.
