The prevailing feeling among business leaders and the people of Brazil is one of faith in the new government of Brazil. The footwear and leather industries have high hopes that president Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva Lula will take action to stimulate exports where the footwear sector alone accounts for in excess of US us1.5 billion a year.
